Our friends at Flying Saucer Draught Emporium will host a craft beer dinner with Stephen Beaumont, expert and author of several beer books. The beer dinner and book signing is this coming Sunday, Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. Beaumont co-authored The World Atlas of Beer with fellow craft beer expert, Tim Webb. Beaumont’s and Webb’s new book, Pocket Beer Guide 2015: The World’s Best Craft and Traditional Beers, releases Nov. 4.
The five-course dinner will feature six craft beers hand-selected by Beaumont, who will share his thoughts on style, origin and history of each brew on a global level. The menu is enticing:

- First Course

- Goat cheese-stuffed peppadews with micro-basil
- Second Course
- Brooklyn Brewery Oktoberfest
- Pepper-crusted, shaved beef tenderloin on crostini with tomato jam, arugula and parmesan
- Third Course
- Rodenbach Vintage 2011
- Venison osso bucco on a bed of kale and walnut, topped with a cherry glaze
- Fourth Course
- Thornbridge Jaipur India Pale Ale
- Two artisanal cheeses with grain mustard and baguette
- Fifth Course
- Parallel 49 Brewing Co. Salty Scot
- Pumpkin crème brulee
