Rhizome Productions is partnering with Pennington Distilling Co. and Urban Grub to bring you the Second Annual Hardest Harvest. This year’s event is Wednesday, October 17 from 6-9pm at the distillery located at 900 44th Ave. N. in the Nations. Admission is free, with craft beer, cider, and food available for purchase.
Hardest Harvest will be a rocking party with performances from Austin’s The Band of Heathens and Nashville’s delightful Alanna Royale.
This year’s Hardest Harvest celebrates the release of Pennington’s Davidson Reserve Genesis, a Bottle-in-Bond whiskey, Nashville’s first since Prohibition. Bottled-in-Bond whiskeys are Federally mandated to be distilled by one distillery in one season and barrel-aged in a Federally bonded warehouse for at least four years, then bottled at 100 proof. Guests can sample the new Davidson Reserve Genesis along with other Pennington spirits like Pickers Vodka and Whisper Creek Cream Liqueur. Guests can purchase bottles to take home, including one of the 1,017 bottles of the Davidson Reserve Genesis.
Besides Pennington’s spirits, guests can enjoy local craft beer from Bearded Iris, New Heights, Southern Grist, Fat Bottom and local cider from Diskin. Sorry, no samplings, beer available for purchase by the can. And don’t worry about eating beforehand, Urban Grub will be serving a variety of delicious dishes prepared onsite.
Please get a babysitter, Hardest Harvest is a 21+ event. But feel free to bring your leashed, well-behaved dogs. Yes, it is FREE to enter!
Cheers!
