As the trees bloom and our allergies flare, Winter is over and Spring has solidly taken hold in Tennessee. Like many, we start thinking about our summer plans as the days get warmer and longer. And if you’re looking for a great place to travel this year, we’ve got several spots in central Texas you should check out.
We’ve been collecting our notes and reminiscing on our fantastic time at Beer Now 2021. It’s hard for us to blog in the moment, especially when we’re traveling. There’s so much to take in, and we find that after we get home, we talk about the trip, remember the fun we had, and think about all the things we want to do when we go back. So this Winter, we took a break and reflected on the fun, informative, and relaxing time we had at Beer Now in Austin, TX.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll post about the great times we enjoyed in Texas. We have stories to share about these places and more:
- San Marcos, TX – Beer, Caves, and a River
- North Austin’s Craft Beer Scene
- Shiner, TX and the Spoetzl Brewery
- Vista Brewing: A Destination Brewery
If you’re looking for great beer, friendly people, and beautiful views, we think you should put these places on your summer trip ideas list. And honestly, Texas is hot in the summer. If you’re like us and love fall travel, you can’t beat the mild yet surprisingly warm temperatures of the Texas Hill Country in November.
And as we were about to crank up the blog for the Spring, we just found out Beer Now is back and scheduled for mid-August in Asheville! Yeah, that Asheville.
We’re so excited Beer Now is back, especially since we left Austin thinking it might be the last one. Beer Now is always a great event, but the attendance was the lowest yet, and our friends at Zephyr Adventures need a bigger crowd to make Beer Now sustainable. Beer Now started in 2010 as the Beer Bloggers conference in Boulder, Colorado. I’ve been to every event since 2012, even the virtual Beer Now in 2020. June joined me in 2013 and only missed Asheville 2015. Beer Now 21 was a wonderful time to get back together with old friends, drink delicious beer, and learn about breweries and the brewing industry. Of course, the best part of Beer Now is learning how to champion, promote and be better influencers in the sphere of beer.
So here’s a travel idea if you’re a beer fan that uses any form of media to share your passion, spread the word, and get others talking about beer. Go to Beer Now in Asheville in August. Beer Now will be August 18-21, and there are usually killer pre and post-conference activities. And as informative and valuable as the conference is, the Pre and Post events are where we had the most fun and certainly where we made some of our best beer friends.
You don’t have to be a blogger. Seriously, who blogs in 2022? 🙂 Do you podcast, Vlog, Instagram, or TikTok about beer? Do you have a following that trusts your beer knowledge and loves your beer passion? You need to be at Beer Now 2022!
I know we have friends out there in Tennessee and throughout that are doing cool things with beer in social media and I want to personally invite you to join us. You’ll love it. Without a doubt, almost all of my best beer experiences have been at Beer Bloggers/Beer now. It’s time to have some of your own. It will be easier now than ever to get to Beer Now if you live in the South. 2022 is your year!
Stay tuned for more about the fun we had at Beer Now 21 in Austin. Cheers!
